A bride left her groom stunned afer turning up to their wedding in a dustcart!
Hilli Fletcher’s unusual surprise for groom Paul, was a great one, since paul works as a bin man himself.
Paul had thought Hilli was intending to arrive in a Bentley, but she instead decked out the Birmingham City Council dumpster with ribbons and a giant banner reading: “Here comes the bride!”
Hilli, said Paul’s workmates at the Montague Street depot in Digbeth helped her spring the surprise, and then spruced up the cart to leave it smelling as fresh and clean!
She said: "Some of his work friends put me in touch with his boss, who said: ‘Leave it with me.’"
"He said he would contact head office."
"I told him I was getting a lift in a friend’s Bentley."
"I just saw him cry – he said he was in complete shock and surprise."
"The bin lorry is normally in use but they put it aside one day to clean it."
