Confessions of a Real Bride: Luma Karadsheh

Luma Karadsheh is a new bride, and she decided to share her experience in wedding planning and all the hassle that comes with it, with Arabia Weddings.

Luma got married to Omar Haddadin in Amman, Jordan. She had a church wedding and then celebrated during a wedding party at night.

Here is what Luma had to say:

  • Did you plan your wedding by yourself or did you hire a wedding planner? And why?

I planned everything alone with my husband, as I believe that every bride should enjoy the pleasure of choosing every single detail for her wedding and this special occasion, plus the fact that I am a graphic designer made it a bit easier for me.

  • What was the most difficult thing you had to cope with while planning your wedding?

The most difficult aspect was all the stress that comes with all the planning, while still having to work till 5 pm every day.Plus designing and preparing our new home!

"What helped me a lot is the checklist I got from Arabia weddings,

it reduced the amount of unexpected and unplanned surprises"

  • Did everything go as planned on your wedding day, or did some surprises pop up? And how did you manage to deal with them?

Everyone is bound to face some unexpected surprises but honestly what helped me a lot is the checklist I got from Arabia weddings. It reduced the amount of unexpected and unplanned surprises, but still the factor of having things out of control is there.

I advise every bride to be calm and try to figure out a solution. If you can't solve it then don’t bother thinking about it or even being upset over it, as I believe that eventually the wedding will pass and you will remember the happy and the funny moments. But for the small details you will, at the end, laugh at them as they will turn out to be a funny story to be told to your kids and friends.

If I start mentioning what went wrong during the wedding week I will never stop. I had a swollen eye 3 days before the wedding, had some skin burns, my nails broke, Ididn’t receive my veil till the day before the wedding, and so much more.

"If you can't solve it then don’t bother thinking about it or even being upset over it"

  • What is your best advice to give a bride-to-be after going through the whole experience yourself?

Relax!Enjoy every moment, and don’t forget to buy comfortable wedding shoes.

  • Did Arabia Weddings help you out in any way? If so, how?

Sure, it helped me a lot; first with the checklist that was sent to me, and secondly, with the special offers and great ideas. I still check Arabia Weddings as it is packed with great gripping reads.
