Confessions of a Real Bride: Shoroq Azaizeh

Shoroq Azaizeh and Hussein, met through a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight, the couple got married a year after they met on March 17, 2013 in Irbid, Jordan.

  • What is the biggest advice you can give any bride-to-be?

Don't stress about the small things. You can get so wrapped up in trying to make everything perfect that you miss all the special moments. Things will go wrong but it’s not the end of the world. Just remember that no matter what goes wrong you are marrying the best man you have ever known and he is marrying the woman of his dreams. And 100 years from now that is all that will matter; not the fact that it rained that day or that there wasn't enough seating!

  • Did you pick a certain theme or color scheme?

We had an Arabian wedding with no specific color scheme.

  • Did you face any surprises?

Yes, many surprises happened but I just remembered that it doesn't matter because I am marrying the man of my dreams.

"Things will go wrong but it’s not the end of the world"

  • What type of bride are you?

I am a very relaxed bride.

  • Describe your wedding day:

It was the best day of my life! We got up that morning and had coffee with the family.  We got dressed and had our ceremony and then a small party with only close friends and family. We ate and drank coffee, danced, laughed and had the best time of our lives.

Compared to most weddings it was a very small and simple wedding but to me it was the best day of my life. I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding.
