Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are celebrating their first year of wedded life.
The couple tied the knot on August 23, 2014 at their French chateau surrounded by their six children, who played a vital role in their big day.
Jolie wore an Atelier Versace white satin wedding dress and long veil, which were adorned with colourful artwork by her children Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 6.
Pitt and Jolie met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005, in which they played a couple who were surprised to learn they were both assassins, while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Pitt and Aniston announced their divorce in 2005. In 2006, Jolie confirmed she was pregnant with Pitt's child, their first daughter Shiloh, which was the first time the couple publicly acknowledged their relationship. The couple announced their engagement in April 2012 after seven years together.
Jolie said that their marriage did change things for them, telling the US Today show: "It did change things. It was in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had, but recommitting after 10 years together."
"We were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation where we got married with our children, and they were a part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows."
"So it was all of us agreeing to be together and to commit to this life together - not because we had to, not because anything was missing in our lives but because we were absolutely sure. It was really lovely, it was a lovely day."
