A blizzard usually means a disaster for most weddings, but when snow began falling during the wedding of Carly and Chris Atwill, the U.K. couple simply decided to take the opportunity for some unbelievably beautiful, snowy photos.
The newlyweds admitted to The Daily Mail that they had originally wished for snow on their wedding day, but had never expected the ground of Barnard Castle to transform into such a winter wonderland.
"We had really hoped it would snow, but knew the chances were very slim as there hadn't been a snow like this for five years," said the groom. "It all feels like a bit of a dream now."
Wedding photographer, Paul Liddemen, captured stunning shots of the snow princess bride, the couple embracing in their own personal winter wonderland, and even the guests frolicking in the crystal flakes!
