Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has been nothing short of astonishing. Day 3 presented dazzling displays from international designers, showcasing flamboyant and other-worldly fashions that one could only dream of.
Lebanese designer Elie Saab's Spring-Summer 2012 collection brought romance to Paris. The designer presented romantic collection of ivory and pastel hues of powder blue, mint green, pink and other pretty pastels in flowing girly fabrics. The collection also offered ladylike lace works and sequined paillettes for a galmourous refined look.
Large floral prints on oversized skirts gave gowns a touch of royalty, while other pieces paid attention to intricate detail in the form of tulle and silk in thick layers finished with sparling embroidered crystals.
Saab said he found his inspiration for the collection in fairytales. "In this collection I thought about a very modern princess," he explained. "I thought of the fairytales, which all girls dream of, in order to come up with this collection. Concerning colours, I thought of very soft colours but ones that still retained the dazzle I wanted to achieve in this collection," he said after the show.
We love Elie Saab's 2012 collection. It's definetly dazzling!
