George Clooney's Wedding Pictures Proceeds Go to Charity

Newlyweds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin decided to put speculation to rest by selling their wedding album to highest bidder and donating the money to charity

Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney have decided to lend their names to a worthy cause by donating the proceeds of the sale of their wedding photos to a number of charities.

A source close to the 53-year-old actor and filmmaker was quoted as saying that the couple wanted every picture in their photo album to save a life.

Close sources have revealed that the proceeds are likely to go towards a few human rights charity initiatives. Top of the list is Not On Our Watch, a charity Clooney established with his friends Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and a few others. Not On Our Watch is a charity that keeps a close eye on war crimes in Sudan. Part of this organisation’s mandate is to help Sudan by generating quick responses to human rights and security concerns.

The Clooneys wedding pictures appear in the US edition of People Magazine as well as the UK’s Hello!

The Clooneys’ noble gesture will make them favourites with the charity world for years to come.

The couple is set enjoy their honeymoon in the historic Arab city of Marrakech, Morocco.
