Jaden Smith dressed as Batman at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding. Why?
In a new interview with GQ, the wearer of "girl clothes" explained that he dressed as the Caped Crusader at the couple's 2014 Italian nuptials to keep them safe.
"I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and prom which was fun, but also at the wedding I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so," Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's philosophy genius son, 16, said.
"I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a superhero," but adding that he doesn't "have to necessarily wear superhero costumes everyday."
Jaden first wore his caped looked to Kanye and Kim's Italian wedding in May 2014. Attendee Clyde Haygood, a celebrity hairstylist, dubbed him "#albinobatman" and, similarly, fellow guest Joe Francis called him "White Batman." While it definitely took some attention away from the bride, the mother of the bride loved it.
"I thought it was just genius," Kris Jenner told HuffPo Live last year. "When you look at it … it sounds just crazy. But it was beautiful. He looked so good, and so fun, and he also has a really good sense of humor."
