A week ago a young boy was shot at a wedding in Irbid, north of Jordan, and ever since then, the news has been going viral among Jordanians in social media channels.
Jordanians have launched a new campaign on Facebook against gun shootings at weddings as a form of celebration.
The campaign translates in English to "Don't Kill Me With Your Happiness".
The campaign aims to raise awareness against gun shootings at weddings, and many Jordanian families and tribes are supporting this campaign, and looking for ways to stop this tradition.
Some ballroom owners are even adding a rule to their contracts against gun shootings, explaining that any wedding with gun shootings will face extra charges.
Authorities will be contacted immediately if any gun shootings were heard at any celebration.
