A new campaign started by a group of young Jordanians called "I Only Have the Rings" in Arabic "معيش غير دبلتين" is taking Jordan by storm.
The campaign aims to help young people get married, and fight the tradition of high and expensive dowries.
The person who started this campaign Hamza Kamal explains that his family and friends supported him and were always very understanding when it came to this particular subject.
Hamza stated that parents should trust their daughter's future husband, and choose him based on his ethics and not on his money.
The team works on spreading awareness regarding this issue. And it is now working on a new project, which are 10 rules that should be applied before the parents can accept the groom's proposal.
