Karl Lagerfeld is known to be a very outspoken designer, and although he he apologized for the rude comments Karl reportedly insulted Adele and Pippa Middleton.
In promo clips for CNN’s Fashion: Backstage Pass, Karl attempted to clarify his insult to Adele when he called her fat in February 2012, Karl told the Metro, "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."
he tried to apologize and attempted to explain what he meant but instead he made it worse!
"I never said that she was fat, I said that she was a little roundish. A little roundish is not fat. But for such a beautiful girl, after that she lost eight kilos, so I think the message was not that bad," he tells the host, Anita Cho.
But Adele is not the only one Karl has insulted with his comments, as he recently commented on Kate Middleton's little sister Pippa Middleton saying, "I don’t like the sister’s face. She should only show her back."
When Anita asks Karl flat out, “You did not like the face of Pippa Middleton?” He responds, saying, “No, I think her sister looks better.”
While it was rumored Karl apologized to Adele by sending her a collection of Chanel bags, don't expect to see either Adele or Pippa in any Chanel anytime soon.
