Katherine Jenkins has praised George Clooney for helping her get married in secret!
With the world's attention focused on George's nuptials to lawyer Amal Alamuddin in September, it meant opera star Katherine was able to quietly wed filmmaker Andrew Levitas without much fanfare.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, she said: "Thank goodness for George! We just wanted it to be all the family together and be a normal bride and groom. We were a bit concerned about whether we'd be able to get away with that and then when we saw George Clooney was getting married on the same day, we thought we had a chance of keeping it quiet as everyone would be looking at him!"
She added: "It was brilliant, the best day ever!"
Katherine married American director Andrew at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey in September. They'd become engaged earlier that year when Andrew popped the question in The Hamptons. Unfortunately, Katherine wasn't able to walk down the aisle with her father, who passed away in 1996, but she made sure he was very much a part of her big day.
"I had his name sewn in the bottom of my train so he walked me down the aisle," she said.
