A mass wedding for about 400 Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip next month will be funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The event on April 4 is aimed at helping the underprivileged, war casualties and those whose houses were destroyed in the recent Israeli war on Gaza, state news agency Wam reported.
The organising committee of the mass wedding said that each of the bridegrooms will receive $4,000 to help them establish a new family.
"The celebration will see surprises and programmes that will make the Gazans happy because Gaza deserves more happiness, freedom and peace," the committee said.
The event was organised under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
