Onitsha: 25 Soldiers in Mass Wedding
Fri 05-04-2013

In Onitsha, Nigeria, over 25 soldiers from the 302 Artillery Regiment and 14 Field Engineer Regiment in the Onitsha Military Cantonment have wedded at the St. Peters’ Military Church, Onitsha.

The officiating minister, Rev. (Sgt) Daniel Danlami, preached on the theme “Building a Strong Marriage’’, added that “every successful marriage is a reflection of a family’s closeness to God because it is only God who can grant perfect love in marriages and families.”

“It is certain that marriage is not a bed of roses; at times there might be trials and challenges.”

“But the family that has its foundation on the deep knowledge of God will surely overcome times of adversities.”

Taritimaya Gagariga, the Commander of Onitsha Military Cantonment, congratulated the newly wedded soldiers and their wives and wished them happy and prosperous married lives.

“It is a thing of great joy for me to see 25 soldiers getting married at the same time.  I am overwhelmed with joy that soldiers under my command will want to live responsible family lives.’’
