Nashville's News Channel 5 reports a woman who responded to a car crash mere moments after she said "I do."
Sarah Ray, a paramedic, had just finished saying her vows to her new husband Paul (who is also a paramedic) at a church in Clarksville on Saturday. While on the way to her reception, she learned her father and grandparents were involved in a car crash about two miles from the church where they'd just attended her wedding. Ray and her groom immediately jumped into action and headed to the scene to help.
"Anybody in the EMS field would've done the same thing," Ray told News Channel 5. " I don't know if what I did was special but I was in a wedding dress."
Her mom, Marcy Martin, snapped a photo of Ray while she was on the scene wearing her wedding dress. "It shows her character and accentuates her beauty," her mom said.
Everyone in Ray's family made it through the accident with minor injuries, although her grandmother was worried that she had "ruined" her granddaughter's wedding day. Ray assured her it was no big deal and the family even continued on to the reception.
