He is Britain’s most eligible bachelor, who last week revealed his heartfelt mission to find The One.
The Mail On Sunday can reveal that while Prince Harry has enjoyed a series of casual flings with pretty blondes in recent months, none, say his friends, have dislodged Harry’s first love, Chelsy Davy.
When the Zimbabwean-born beauty recently separated from jeweller Charles Goode, whispers of a reconciliation spread like wildfire through society soirees. And indeed Harry and Chelsy, 29, are thought to be in touch and planning to meet this summer in South Africa.
But whether Chelsy, a qualified lawyer, can be persuaded to take back her Prince, and accept the intrusive trials of Royal life, is another matter. Certainly, Harry is not short of a female admirers. Harry mania swept Down Under when the Prince visited New Zealand last week, with Royalists offering to wed him everywhere he went.
It is a year since he split from aspiring actress Cressida Bonas, the 26-year-old aristocrat who many believe tamed the Royal rebel. Although there was talk of marriage, the two-year courtship came to an end when Cressida realised life as a Royal consort was not for her.
Harry, however, has grown tired of his own singledom. The 30-year-old admitted to a TV reporter last week he would ‘love to have kids right now’ but acknowledged ‘there’s a process that one has to go through’. He confessed that he would love ‘to have someone else next to me to share the pressure’.
