According to The Huffington Post, The Beverly Hills, California based auction house "Julien's Auctions" is selling two slices of royal wedding cake as part of its "Icons and Idols" auction on November 9 and 10. One slice is from the recent wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The other slice is from the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The auction catalog estimates that the 31 year old Princess Diana's cake, will be twice as desirable as Kate Middleton’s cake from 2011. Diana’s cake is estimated to bring in $1,000-2000, while Kate’s cake is only expected to bring $600-800. In the case of Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ cake, the auction house specifies, "The cake is not suitable for consumption".
