Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles on July 29, 1981, in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The dress is now available for everyone to see in an exhibition in Ohio
"I can lift the dress itself with my little finger. It’s so, so light," said Graeme Murton, who is one of two people in the world permitted to touch – always with gloves – the frothy, delicate confection of a wedding dress and its famous 25-foot train.
That dress is the centerpiece of an exhibit – “Diana: A Celebration” – that opens to the public at the Cincinnati Museum Center.
The dress, and 149 other items in the exhibit, including priceless family jewels, traveled in a nonstop, high-security convoy from Davenport, Iowa, to the Museum Center.
