Designer Sarah Burton, who created the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress, has received an OBE.
Sarah Burton was given the honor by the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace.
Kate’s bridal gown was seen by millions around the world when she exchanged vows with Prince William at Westminster Abbey last year.
Speaking after the OBE ceremony, she said: "I’m very, very humbled and it’s just a huge honor to be here, I’m very lucky."
Sarah Burton became creative director of the British label in May 2010 following the death of Alexander McQueen.
The designer, who is expecting twins in February, was awarded the OBE for services to the British fashion industry.
The designer said she never expected to receive the royal commission.
She said: "It came completely out of the blue, it was very exciting and I felt very privileged."
