North Korea leader Kim Jong Un's younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, has reportedly married the son of a senior party official, but North Korea is unlikely to confirm the marriage or divulge details about the ceremony anytime soon.
Kim Yo Jong, 28, married Choe Song, the son of powerful party secretary Choe Ryong-hae, last year, unnamed sources based in China told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.
On Friday, North Korean media added to the marriage buzz when it released a phototaken on New Year's Day that appears to show Kim Yo Jong wearing a wedding ring.
Not much is known about Choe Song, except that he is reportedly in his 30s and is the second son of Choe Ryong-hae, Yonhap reported. Choe Ryong-hae is a high-ranking member of the ruling Workers' Party and widely seen as a close confidant to Kim Jong Un, Reuters reported.
