A Swedish woman found her lost wedding ring after 16 years around a carrot growing in her garden! Can you believe that?
Lena Paahlsson, who lives on a farm in northern Sweden, had taken off her wedding ring before baking for Christmas in 1995. She placed it on the kitchen counter, but never seemed to find it again. Until October this year, when she was picking carrots in her garden, she was amazed to find her ring around a carrot!
The family said that the ring must have fallen into the sink and was mixed with potato peels that were composted or fed to the sheep. All the soil in her garden comes from composted vegetables.
Although the ring does not fit her anymore, she plans to have it enlarged. "I had given up hope. Now that I have found the ring again ... I want to be able to use it," she told Dagens Nyheter a famous daily newspaper in Sweden.
