Tina Turner has opened up about her lavish wedding to Hello! magazine.
The diva got married to German music producer Erwin Bach after being together for 27 years, at their home in Switzerland, which is nestled on the banks of Lake Zurich.
Tina Turner told Hello! magazine she first spotted her dress at a Giorgio Armani fashion show in Beijing.
"I thought, ‘I gotta have that, even if I never wear it,’"
"Then I thought, ‘I know, that will be my wedding dress!’"
Tina Turner wore sheer leggings with the piece, which features a trendy high-low hemline with volumes of black tulle cascading over green draping.
Female attendees were asked to wear the more traditional bridal color, white.
Instead of a traditional wedding Tina Turner chose to have a Buddhist ceremony as a reflection of her faith.
"It’s that happiness that people talk about, when you wish for nothing, when you can finally take a deep breath and say, everything is good."
"It’s a wonderful place to be."
