An Indiana man decided to pop the question to his girlfriend while aboard a roller coaster at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana in a fun, sweet video that has since gone viral.
As the wooden coaster began climbing to the very top of the ride, Austin Crecelius turned to his girlfriend of two years, Allison Boyle, with an equally thrilling question to ask and his buddy just ahead of them to catch it all on camera. "At one point in time you had mentioned to me that life is like a roller coaster," Crecelius began his speech. "And it's got its up and downs, it's got twists and turns, and it even throws you for a loop sometimes. And though you can go by yourself, it's a lot more fun to go with another person," he continued.
"So I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my roller coaster buddy. Allie will you marry me?" If Boyle wasn't already feeling on top of the world, she certainly was now! Through her tears, Boyle said yes and her now-fiancé took her hand for the rest of the ride and unzipped his sweatshirt, revealing a "She said yes!" t-shirt for a pretty epic photo op.
And in case you're wondering, no, Crecelius didn't bring an expensive engagement ring on the coaster with him. This smart guy used a fake ring for his sky-high proposal and placed the real one on his fiancé's finger once the pair was safely back on the ground, according to ABC News. Can you just imagine the disastrous way that could've gone?
"We are a somewhat goofy, quirky but fun couple," Boyle said. "We don't like doing things the way other people do them, and at least from my perspective, a roller coaster proposal seemed to be our speed."
