Wedding Guest Tries To Run Over Bride
Tue 15-09-2015

A 55-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly attempted to run over wedding party guests, including the bride, in Sydney’s south-west.

Police said the man began arguing with a number of wedding party members at Camden's Harrington Grove Country Club.

He then allegedly entered a Mazda 3, and drove towards two people, narrowly missing the pair.

A witness then attempted to retrieve the keys from the car’s ignition when the driver allegedly reversed at high speed towards a number of people, including the bride.

Wedding photographer Warren Donovan was shooting bride Tenille Eyles and groom Adam Bradley when all broke loose in the venue's driveway.

"I've been to a few weddings but nothing like that," Mr Donovan said.

"There was an argument and we sort of didn't know what was going on.

"We kept shooting, we needed to get what we wanted and then the bloke came back to the car and nearly ran a few people over, including us."

He said it was a miracle no one was hurt.

"When he took off the second time that's when he came straight towards us and we jumped out of the way," Mr Donovan said.

"I still don't know how nobody got was crazy."

The driver was arrested around midnight after he was found walking along a footpath on Camden Valley Way.
