Weddings Want Last Triple Date in the Century 12-12-12

KnoxNews has recently reported that a recent survey by David's Bridal estimated that 5,000 brides will wed 12/12/2012 compared with the 485 who married 12/12/2011.

This is what KnoxNews had to say:

12-12-12 is not just a triple date sequence on the calendar, it's the last one we'll see in our lifetimes.

Easy to remember for an anniversary, the date means luck and good energy for some folks who are penciling in the rare numerical lineup for special events from weddings to holiday parties.

"That date resonates with the vibration and characteristics of beauty, love, laughter and fun," said Marcy Heller, a numerologist in Delray Beach, Fla. "Twelve is the energy of creativity, artistic beauty, harmony, celebration."

"It's a historic kind of day since there's not going to be a 13-13-13," said Jackie Halderman, communications manager for the Clerk's Office in West Palm Beach.

"A wedding on a Wednesday? That's almost unheard of," says the Rev. Dr. Ed Taylor of Gatlinburg Chapel Ministries. "But this Wednesday we are booked for most of the day."

Scott Holman, a photographer at the Little Log Wedding Chapel in Gatlinburg, echoes that statement. "We're booked from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.," he says.

But mostly, 12-12-12 seems to be popular among lovebirds, who are counting on the date to be ever-lasting.
