Carol Levis is a 56 year-old lady who decided along with 80 other women, to put on white wedding gowns to raise awareness and funds to support the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
Levis is looking forward to dressing as a bride after helping collect donations for the group last year. She has admittedly worn the dress she bought at Value Village five times already once for an entire day to bring attention to the Children’s Wish campaign.
Considering the $1,400 she has raised, her efforts appear to be working.
With each wish costing about $10,000 to send a sick child to Disney World or set up a meeting with a favourite celebrity, the group’s goal of $40,000 will go a long way.
As of Tuesday, the brides had reached $30,768. Donations are still being accepted through their website.
