Runway Inspired Bridal Make Up

My beautiful brides-to-be! This upcoming year, bridal makeup is all about modesty, femininity, serenity and glamour! As seen in many fashion shows for well known designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Zuhair Murad and many others, the light innocent glamorous makeup was the highlight of the shows.

Oscar de La Renta

If you are planning an outdoor wedding, then this is the prefect look for you! Go for the feminine berry reds and pinks for your lips, rosy cheeks, simple black eyeliner and mascara.

Zuhair Murad

A dramatic yet romantic look that is amazing for a fall or winter wedding! Go for nude lips, slightly bronzed cheeks and dramatic eyes. Pick a color that suits your skin tone as eye color. Shades of bronze, green and even purple might be great! Do not over do the smokey eyes, though. You do not want to end up as a panda at the end of the night.

Zuhair Murad

Vera Wang

I believe this look is inspired by the 20ies fashion or many vampire fantasies. Mrs Wang decided to go minimal. Use nude lipstick, light cover blush, and very light brown eye shadow and eyeliner. If you have a pale skin tone, this is not really recommended. You do not want to look sick on your day!

As glamorous as their dresses for this season, the make up is so modern with a very feminine touch. For the eye shadow, use blue and grey shades, for the lips, soft pinks and creamy peach or pink blush! This is perfect for a winter or early spring wedding.

Amsale revive the classic Hollywood retro look! Go for the screaming bold red lips, bronze-ish eye make up and a very natural blush. You have to be careful here, as bold red does not suit every sick tone. You want to look elegant and glamourous, and not as bold as the joker!

Another tip for wearing red lipstick: put one layer of concealar before applying the red lipstick for a long lasting affect.
