With all the stress that accompanies wedding preparations, brides and grooms are bound to be sleep deprived, as well as prone to skipping a healthy meal or two. But you don’t want that getting in the way of a healthy glow on the big day with dark circles around your eyes.


Check out our tried-and-tested tips to reduce dark circles…


  • A good night’s sleep. Sleep for at least 8 hours every night to keep your mind and body healthy, and to keep dark circles away.


  • Drink lots of water. Drink at least 2 liters of water a day to keep the skin smooth and glowing.


  • Stick to a healthy and balanced diet. Incorporate the five food groups in your daily diet, and eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Food that is rich in iron helps in reducing dark circles.


  • Potatoes and cucumber. A simple yet effective remedy! Research states that potato juice has bleaching agents in it, so try to apply some potato or cucumber juice on the area around your eyes, or take a nap with potato or cucumber slices placed on your eyes for 20 minutes.


  • Some tea for the eyes. Tea also reduces the puffiness and dark circles around the eyes and leaves the eyes feeling refreshed. Make some tea and dip cotton pads in it, then place them on your eyes while you relax for 10 minutes.


  • Don’t forget your shades. Never leave the house without your sunglasses, and always make sure you have them on while driving or sitting under the sun.
