Diane von Furstenberg, decided to take her fans back in time at the NY Fashion Week 2015 and have her models look feminine and elegant with glamorous hair!
The team used Tresemme Perfectly Undone hairspray, and the hairstyles were inspired by DVF herself.
“It’s a nod to the first time Diane went out without straightening her hair,” said makeup artist Pat McGrath.
Orlando Pita also found a modern muse in Von Furstenberg’s youthful style. “She showed me a Pre-Raphaelite painting and I said to her, ‘That woman, to me, feels 3,000 years old. I like that woman,’ ” he said, pointing to a photograph of young DVF with her disco curls pinned to the side with an oversize flower.
After prepping each girl’s natural hair with Make Waves gel, he set their lengths with a 3/4-inch curling iron before pinning them in place. Thirty minutes before they took to the runway, he brushed the ringlets out to fuzzy perfection.
