Getting married soon?Looking for a Wedding Dress?Let's help you find it.
Wedding Dress Tips For The Curvy Bride-to-Be

You don't need to have a model figure to look great in your wedding dress! As a curvy bride, you need to work with your body shape. And most importantly, always remember, "If you've got it, flaunt it!"

Also remember that being curvy does not necessarily mean you need to lose weight, you just need to work with your body and wear what suits you.
We previously posted an article on how to get the perfect fit for your body. This time, we are going to give you more details and tips to especially help you deal with your curvy body.
Here’s what you need to know:
  • Don't buy a dress in a smaller size and expect to lose weight. If you want to diet or exercise, then start well before you buy your wedding dress.
  • Don’t go for any fluffs or ruffles! As a curvy bride, you don't want extra fabric to exaggerate your figure.
  • Go with ruching! Ruching is when the fabric of the dress is gathered in one center. It's a great way to make you look slimmer, just like the picture below.
  • Try a dress with a wide neckline, to emphasize your face.
  • Don't fall for the empire waist trick! An empire waist dress will not make you look thinner or hide anything, it will only make you look shapeless and heave at the top part.
  • Show your back. A woman's back is one of her best features when emphasized.
  • You want to show off your hips and thighs? A figure hugging mermaid gown is perfect for you.
  • If you want your arms to look thinner or smaller, lace sleeves are a great way to cover them.
  • Wear a long veil to elongate your body and face.
  • Accentuate your waistline. Wearing a dress which is tighter on the waistline will make you look taller and proportional.
  • And the most important thing is: Do not compromise! Just because you have curves does not mean you shouldn't get the dress of your dreams. You can still look fashionable and beautiful if you get to know your body.
