World-renowned luxury jeweler Mouawad today announced a new partnership with The Miss Universe Organization, which will see winners of its three prestigious pageants, MISS UNIVERSE®, MISS USA®, and MISS TEEN USA® honored with crowns crafted by Mouawad.
The first official Miss Universe Diamond Crown by Mouawad will make its debut at the 68th annual MISS UNIVERSE® competition, where Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will crown her successor.
Mouawad Co-guardian Fred Mouawad commented on the new partnership, saying: “With Mouawad’s strong heritage of designing jewelry for royalty and our reputation for ‘crafting the extraordinary’, we are delighted to bring our savoir-faire to these internationally renowned events and to craft exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces befitting modern-day royalty.”
The Miss Universe 2019, Miss USA 2020 and Miss Teen USA 2020 titleholders and their successors will also receive a keepsake tiara to own as a treasured memory of their time as reigning queens.
“The crown worn by each titleholder is one of the most recognizable symbols of the commitment and ambition it takes to be Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA,” said Paula M. Shugart, President of The Miss Universe Organization. “With Mouawad as our new partner, we’ll be creating crowns that celebrate the diverse community of women from around the globe who have and will continue to participate in our programs each year.”
Mouawad Co-guardian Pascal Mouawad said, “Collaborating with The Miss Universe Organization to design these crowns and tiaras has been a fantastic experience. We look forward to unveiling these unique works of art in the coming months.”
