Confessions of a Real Bride: Mais Al Ta'ee

Mais and Saif met while they were both studying at university. The couple got married  on the 4th of October 2013, at the Holiday Inn Resort at the Dead Sea in Jordan.

Mais shared her wedding experience with us and here is what she had to say about the wedding planning process:

  • Did you hire a wedding planner or planned the wedding yourself?

We planned the wedding ourselves as we have an experience in events planning, and we love it.

  • What is the biggest advice you can give any bride-to-be?

Don't panic! If you start panicking you will feel that you have no time left to plan your wedding.

Relax, write up a hit list and start managing your time so you do not forget anything and regret it later on.

  • What was the theme or color scheme you picked for your wedding?

The color scheme was all purple.

  • Do you recommend specific suppliers you worked with?

DJ Shadi Zureiq, I love him, and our guests who attended the wedding loved him as well because he is different in the style of music he plays to other DJs in Jordan (not traditional at all).

I also like a studio called (Photoholics), although they were not my photographers but I love what they do.

  • What was the most difficult and stressful part of wedding planning?

There is no specific part.

"Relax, write up a hit list and start managing your time..."

  • Did you face any surprises?

I did! I had a deal with the florist to decorate my house entrance so that it looks good in our wedding photos. Surprisingly, I get back from the hairstylist to find NOTHING at the door! I immediately called them and asked them to deliver the flowers in 5 minutes which thankfully they did

  • Do you consider yourself as a relaxed bride or more of a bridezilla?

I was a very relaxed bride, Alhamdulillah.

  • Describe your wedding day and the planning process.

The wedding planning days were the funniest days of my life, and the best one was the Wedding Day itself.

  • Did Arabia Weddings help you in your wedding planning?

Yes it did help me a lot.
