Love Stories at The Olympics

The Olympic village has seen many wins and losses, and also many love stories!
Here are our favorite love stories from the Olympics 2012:

Italian volleyball player Antonella Del Core got a marriage proposal after a preliminary-round match, as she went to the stands to hug her boyfriend, Francesco, who surprised her by presenting her with a ring and asking her to marry him.

Croatian women's basketball player Marija Vrsaljko put love first as she skipped the exhibition game against the United States to get married.

Sad after the disappointment of her sixth place Olympic finish, Holly Bleasedale forgets all about it after her boyfriend Paul Bradshaw proposed to her. And she tweeted "6th in the Olympics and @bradshaaaw proposes to me :) epic day!!!"

Matt Grevers, the Olympic swimmer, proposed to Annie Chandler after he won the gold in the 100-meter backstroke at the Missouri Grand Prix.

Rebecca Soni and Ricky Berens are both Olympic swimmers, who train together with Trojan Swim Club.

Brianne Theisen and Ashton Eaton are not only engaged, they are stars on the track but for different countries! Brianne will be competing for Canada, while Ashton will be presenting team USA.

Let's not forget about David State the "Torch Bearer" at the Olympics, who organized a short break halfway through his jog to greet his girlfriend Christine Langham. Then, in front of a camera crew and dozens of viewers, he passed the torch off to a security guard, got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.
