A Chit Chat With Arabia Weddings: Rania Anklis of The Day Weddings and Events
The Day Weddings and Events planning company is a very special boutique wedding and event management company based in Dubai that also provides its services in Lebanon.
The Day is specialized in coordinating, managing and planning the wedding, as well as, pre and post wedding events, including Henna parties, and other special events. What makes this company special is that they pay very close attention to the tiny details, and create weddings that are carefully tailor-made for each couple.
We had the chance to ask the owner of the company Rania Anklis who is also the wedding and event planner a few questions about the latest wedding trends and her best advice for brides-to-be:
- How did you start in Wedding Planning and why?
Wedding planning has always been a passion of mine, so it all started from there, honestly.
I set my mind to it because I wanted to make a career as a Certified Wedding Planner out of my passion. And I am glad I did, because regardless of the workload, the long hours, and the stressed brides, I am happy with what I do which doesn’t even feel like a job.

- What is the best part of being a Wedding Planner?
Being a wedding planner comes with a lot of rewards, such as seeing your vision come into a reality, sharing happy moments with the couple, and transforming a stressful journey into a smooth and enjoyable one.
My favorite part has to be the satisfaction and relief of the bride upon seeing her dream come true.
- What are the top fall/winter trends for this coming season?
Trends in the wedding industry change according to what is currently trending around the world, but the classical themes still remain untouched and in high demand.
Therefore, it is no surprise that Unicorn is a trend for the upcoming season. Other trends for fall/winter include geometrical shapes, black, metallic, and descending florals.
- What is the best advice you would give a bride-to-be?
To be herself! To do what she likes and feels comfortable in, but to also not be afraid to go against some traditions.
Most importantly, make sure your wedding reflects your personality and makes you happy – do not settle for something you are not convinced in simply because it is trending or it is a traditional norm.
