Marrakesh honeymoon

We have previously guided you through the perfect Morocco honeymoon, check out: “Your Honeymoon Destination: Morocco”

But this time we decided to get more specific and guide you through a Marrakesh honeymoon! After all, many celebrities went there for their honeymoon including George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin!

Marrakesh means Land of God in Amazigh (Berber), and it is the 3rd largest city in Morocco.

The city is divided into 2 distinct parts: the Medina, which is the historical city, and the new European modern district called Gueliz or Ville Nouvelle. The Medina is full of intertwining narrow passageways and local shops full of character. In contrast, Gueliz plays host to modern restaurants, fast food chains, and big brand stores according to Wiki Travel.

So if you want to spend a wonderful time with your loved one then a Marrakesh honeymoon is perfect for you.

Here are some suggested places to visit and things to do while you are on a Marrakesh honeymoon:

Jemaa El Fna

Jemaa El Fna

Spend your day sitting at one of the cafés in the square, try the famous Arabic mint tea, and watch snake charmers, horses, and entertainers.

At night, Jemaa El Fna hosts the world’s largest open-air eateries, numerous food stalls snaring passersby with a colorful and aromatic array of Moroccan cuisine. As the sun sets behind the Koutoubia Mosque, the performances of musicians, storytellers, magicians and dancers commence, drum beats and the calls of henna artists fill the air as described by WedMagazine.
