Bisou Bisou 2022 Wedding Dress Collection by Grace Loves Lace
Coined the 'original bridal disruptors", Grace Loves Lace, the designer behind the ‘World’s Most Pinned Wedding Dress’ have introduced their 2022 May Capsule collection inspired by the modern bride.
Titled ‘Bisou Bisou’, the capsule introduces 2 signature gowns and a statement embellished veil that is set to be GRACE icons in the making. Founder and Creative Director, Megan Ziems, said that the collection was influenced by couples of today who are breaking away from tradition and celebrating love in their own way.
"When I started GRACE over 10 years ago, I was on a mission to pioneer a new and exciting way of doing bridal and to revolutionize the whole bridal shopping experience. I find it so inspiring to see couples in this post-Covid world moving away from what is considered a ‘normal’ wedding and opting for elopements, whirlwind weddings, and designing a day that is authentically them" explains Ziems.
Both gowns join the brand’s staple of Ready-to-wear products and are available to order online and in showrooms, giving brides the total freedom to get married wherever, whenever, and however, they want. The capsule collection introduces a new fabrication in the Valentina gown, providing a luxurious and innovative silk alternative, while the Carmen gown features recycled elements and offers a vibrant new silhouette.
The Bisou Bisou collection was designed and created for the effortlessly cool bride who oozes confidence. She is unbound by tradition and knows who she is and what she wants.
The Valentina gown features a liquid-like double-layer satin draped on the bias, a thigh-high split, a flattering pleated bust with extra hidden support, and a back tie providing multiple styling options. An option for the environmentally-conscious bride, Valentina is crafted from a natural and renewable fabrication made from wood pulp. This thick ivory satin radiates a pearlescent glow for a chic and modern aesthetic.
The Carmen gown is a celebration of love and soulful passion. Wildly romantic, the gown features an intricate design that demands attention. Curved paneling over the hip accentuates the female form while the asymmetrical split works to complement the shape of the leg. The gown's silk chiffon, waterfall drape, and asymmetric hemline provide movement, bringing the dress to life. The flattering and defined square neckline accentuates the bust, with thicker straps that offer support for all bust sizes. Sustainable elements of the gown include the recycled lining, eyelash trim, and buttons.
In addition to the gowns, Bisou Bisou also introduces the unapologetically bold, Celestial Veil. Designed for the bride who wants to make a statement, this 280cm handmade ivory tulle veil is embellished with 139 glass crystals all individually hand-sewn and designed with high impact in mind. Making for a dramatic moment, this veil is for the bride that doesn’t follow trends - she makes them!
