Abu Dhabi Welcomes its First Floating Luxury Hotel at Yas Marina

Yas Marina has officially raised the bar for Abu Dhabi's luxury accommodation with the launch of the Orchid Overnight Superyacht, which is being touted as the emirate's premier floating holiday home. Operated by Dutch Oriental, this opulent five-star vessel offers guests an exclusive stay right on the water, with bookings now open.
The superyacht boasts 31 sophisticated rooms and suites. This includes 24 Superior Rooms (25 sqm) and four spacious VIP Rooms (30 sqm). For the ultimate indulgence, there are three expansive Royal Suites (60 sqm) that feature a dedicated living area, sofa bed, and private hot tub. Stays begin at a competitive rate of Dh 990 per night.
Guests are treated to top-tier amenities, including 24-hour concierge service, smart room automation, and access to a spectacular 360-degree sun deck.
Jassim Albastaki, General Manager at Yas Asset Management, noted that the launch "marks a bold new chapter in Abu Dhabi's hospitality scene," offering a unique blend of "the elegance and exclusivity of a superyacht with the comfort of a luxury hotel."
Swapnil Patrikar, General Manager for hospitality at Dutch Oriental, confirmed that Yas Marina was selected as the ideal home base due to its seamless facilities and strategic location, easily accessible from both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Beyond overnight stays, the vessel offers full board dining packages, 24-hour in-room service, and promises to introduce sundowner and dinner cruises starting in October.
The Orchid Overnight Superyacht is also available for private events, including corporate functions, weddings, and full buyouts of all 31 rooms, adding an exclusive new venue option to the UAE's events calendar. The vessel follows in the wake of other successful floating concepts in the UAE, such as Dubai's Queen Elizabeth 2 hotel.
