How to Use a Lemon to Clean Stained Food Containers

Have you ever stored tomato sauce in a plastic food container, only to be left with a stubborn stain?

Tomato sauce and gazpacho can leave tough stains on your plastic food containers. Use a lemon to get those stubborn stains out.

Here’s how to get your containers squeaky clean again:

Cut the lemon in half and use the cut side to rub the container, make sure you squeeze some juice as well, leave it out to dry in the sun, then wash the container.
