Meet Up in Rome Ended with Resounding Success, Cementing the City as a Premier Wedding Destination

"Meet Up" in Rome has successfully concluded, highlighting the Italian capital's growing status as a premier global hub for destination weddings, a sector that is reshaping the tourism landscape by seamlessly blending romance, business, and experiential travel. The Conference emphasized that destination weddings are no longer just niche events but a structural component of Italy's tourism economy.

The event, which was organised by Roberta Torresan, a leading Italian wedding planner, and her team was held at TH Roma - Carpegna Palace Hotel on 28 and 29 November 2025. 

Key Presentations: Expertise, Culture, and Future Trends

The conference agenda featured a diverse panel of international experts who shared advanced knowledge and strategies vital for the high-end event industry. Verena Kinderman from Austria delivered valuable insights on "Turning Expertise Into Income," offering selling techniques specifically designed for event planners. Tobi Yousef,  Riah Weddings & Events, led a discussion on "Luxury Meets Culture: Redefining Excellence in a Global Wedding Industry," stressing the imperative for planners to deeply understand cultural contexts to effectively serve the multicultural luxury client market.

Khouloud Al Amrani, co-owner of Soiree Events, addressed the operational side with "In-house Production for Planners: Challenges and Opportunities," providing a framework for when and how wedding planners should integrate event production into their practice.

Looking ahead, Tomasso Corsini provided a forward-thinking analysis on "The Future of the Private Events Industry in Italy," and Jennifer Price offered inspiring guidance on "Navigating the Highs and Lows of Our Industry with Grace, Courage and Collaboration," focusing on professional resilience and teamwork. 

High-Value Strategies for Attracting Arab Destination Weddings

A key highlight of the event was a presentation by Samar Shawareb, Founder and CEO of Arabia Weddings. Shawareb shared critical insights on high-value strategies for attracting Arab destination weddings to Italy. Her presentation focused on understanding the unique cultural nuances and expectations of Arab couples, emphasizing the need for tailored luxury experiences and exceptional hospitality. She outlined actionable steps for Italian vendors and venues to effectively market themselves to this lucrative segment, positioning Italy as a top-tier choice for opulent Arab celebrations. 

Gala Night and Award Ceremony 

The 2025 edition of Meet Up concluded with a spectacular Gala Night—a true triumph of emotion that celebrated collaboration, shared knowledge, and passion.

After two intense days, the closing night transformed the accumulated energy into pure joy, reinforcing the clear concept for the year ahead: to "ride the wave" of success and inspiration together.

The evening featured a prestigious Award Ceremony which honored Italian industry leaders for their excellence across different facets of the events industry.
