Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana's Royal Wedding
Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates witnessed a grand celebration on Saturday, 27 May 2023, as Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum tied the knot in a splendid wedding reception held at Al Zabeel Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Earlier in April, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, had her official marriage ceremony (Katb Kitab) to Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum and announced their union.
Sheikha Mahra's Bridal Look
HH Sheikha Mahra wore a majestic white gown by Dubai-based designer Ezra Couture. Complementing her husband Sheikh Mana’s traditional Emirati attire, the bride looked divine in a white voluminous ballgown with a diaphanous veil.
The striking white gown with geometric embroidery featuring thousands of Swarovski crystals was complimented by a three-meter-long cape, topped with a flowing veil.
"She wanted a Grecian-themed dress, something very simple yet regal, but also something that was a nod to her culture" Ezra Santos shared.
"The catch was she wanted it in nine days. But Sheikha Mahra was so humble and so down-to-earth and accommodating that she made the whole process easier."
"We had to stop everything and focus on this dress," he says. "We had nine days but we spent two days sketching the dress and for the initial fitting, and actually had just seven days to create the dress" The designer added.
She complemented her attire with exquisite diamond jewelry and a diamond watch by Chopard.
Her make-up was artfully applied by Somayh Aljanahi; the bride opted for her signature smokey eye and a natural nude lip.

The hall was adorned with exquisite arrangements of white flowers.
The tables were tastefully decorated with bouquets of white flowers including white roses, baby breath and gentle candlelights creating a captivating ambiance.
