The Wedding of Sara and Shahin in Italy
Sara, a Lebanese/Moroccan lady and Shahin an Iranian-born gentleman, both from Dubai, decided to tie the knot in Italy; a country they both knew very well and were affectionate to.
When they contacted Just Amore Weddings by Anna K. to plan their dream wedding, they already had their mind-set on Rome to host their event but had no idea of what their ideal venue would be. Anna K, sat with the young couple to know their story and understand their wishes. While listening to them, she immediately knew the perfect place that would be suitable to celebrate their love story: The Odescalchi castle.
This majestic Renaissance castle, just 50 minutes away from Rome, is set over Bracciano, a small hilltop town, with spectacular views over the lake below and has hosted several high-profile weddings like the ones of Martin Scorsese and Isabella Rossellini, as well as, Tom cruise and Katie Holmes. It immediately captured Sara and Shahin’s heart and eyes and so without further delay, the preparations for the big event started. Anna made sure to walk the young couple through every detail based on her inspirational library to make sure they would be truly happy with the result.
The ceremony took place at the main entrance of the castle at the foot of one of the giant tower. The couples exchanged their vows under an all white wedding altar decorated with plenitude of roses, hydrangea and sheer draping.
The guests were then entertained to a sumptuous cocktail in the secret garden under the refreshing shadow of centenary cedars from Lebanon. The young couple made their entrance to join their family and friends with a traditional zaffe. The 4-course dinner was served in the castle’s courtyard surrounded by stunning arches. In this magnificent and imposing setting, the tables were adorned with simple high crystal vases filled abundantly with white and pink flowers, a profusion of candles to create a romantic effect and gold table accessories. The result was absolutely elegant.
