Barceló Group Expands Luxury Footprint in GCC with Four Key 2025 Openings

The Spanish hospitality powerhouse, Barceló Group, is poised for significant growth in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with a strategic plan to launch 4 new properties throughout 2025.

This ambitious regional expansion is highlighted by the recent elevation and rebranding of the former Occidental Al Jaddaf in Dubai, which now stands as the five-star Barceló Al Jaddaf. This transformation introduces the renowned Barceló brand, famed for its unique blend of Spanish hospitality and 'savoir-faire,' to the United Arab Emirates for the very first time.

This pivotal UAE launch follows the successful May opening of Barceló Hotel Bahrain, with further properties anticipated to open in key markets like Oman and Saudi Arabia later this year, reinforcing Barceló's deep commitment to the region.

Strategically positioned mere minutes from Dubai's vibrant cultural districts, thriving business hubs, and Dubai International Airport, Barceló Al Jaddaf invites guests into 365 meticulously renovated rooms and suites. Each space thoughtfully marries contemporary design with subtle Spanish influences, offering captivating views of the iconic Dubai skyline.

The hotel's culinary landscape promises diverse and memorable experiences. Guests can indulge at the newly unveiled B-Heaven, an urban beach club concept atop the hotel, serving Mediterranean fusion cuisine by the poolside with breathtaking 180-degree city views. The all-day dining Souk Restaurant offers a journey through international and local flavors. Complementing these are a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, a rejuvenating Dreamworks Spa, and advanced meeting and event spaces.

Barceló Al Jaddaf is also pioneering sustainable luxury, having implemented solar panel installations, water-saving technologies, and a firm commitment to sourcing at least half of its produce from local suppliers. Eduardo Espiritusanto, General Manager of Barceló Al Jaddaf, emphasized the property's vision: "Our aim with Barceló Al Jaddaf is to bring Spanish hospitality and savoir-faire to Dubai, through our curated services and standards, renowned around Europe and the Americas, and now in the GCC."

Globally, Barceló Group manages 300 hotels across 30 countries, with 20 properties already established across five countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The forthcoming openings in Oman and Saudi Arabia further solidify their strategic regional expansion.
