6 Great Questions to Ask Your Hair and Makeup Artist

Every bride-to-be needs to know a few things about her wedding vendors and the people she will deal with during the preparations for her wedding.

One of the most difficult parts for a bride is to find the right professional for her hair and makeup.

But the most important thing is to know exactly what you want and what you expect to get, so you can work on from there.

To make sure you get all results you want, you should do a little research before booking your hair and makeup artist.

And to make it easier on you, we compiled some important questions to ask before booking them:

#1 Tell me more about your background and how many brides have you worked with?

Checking your hair and makeup artist’s Facebook page is not enough; ask them to see their work from previous weddings. Also word of mouth is important, your recently married friends and relatives will give you some advice and recommend some people.

#2 What will the total cost be and what does it include?

Is your trial included in the total cost? Make sure you know the prices of makeup and hair separately to know what you’re paying for.  Also a salon based stylist will probably ask for more if they are required to come to your wedding venue or home.

#3 Do you require a deposit?

Many stylists require to be paid up front in order to book them.

#4 How long will the makeup and hair process take?

Make sure you know what time you need to be at the salon and what time you will leave, also book more than one stylist if your mother, female relatives and friends are getting ready at the same salon.

#5 What products and brand do you use?

If you have sensitive skin it is probably best to know what is being put on your face.

#6 Will you be working on another bride on the day of my wedding?

You sure want your stylist’s full attention so make sure they know that.
