How to Include Tamarind in Your Beauty Routine

Tamarind or Tamar Hendi is a well known fruit in the Arab world, and a very popular drink during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Arabs drink and eat Tamarind during the holy month of Ramadan, but did you know that this delicious fruit has many beauty benefits as well?

Tamarind is rich with antioxidants, flavanoids, alpha hydroxy acids and vitamins C and A.

  • Here are some ways you can include Tamarind in your beauty routine:

Body & Facial Scrubs:  Mix Tamarind pulp with sugar, add some baking soda if you want, and use the mix as a natural exfoliator.

Skin Lightening:  Mix some Tamarind pulp with some water and knead until it becomes a paste. Apply it to the skin, let it dry, then rinse it off.

Toner: Add Tamarind juice with rose water and use it as a toner, apply it with cotton on your face.
