Farah and Karim got married at their hometown village in Mtein which is one of Mount Lebanon’s oldest villages on 1 September 2018. Mtein is packed with history, culture and architectural heritage which was reflected in Farah and Karim's authentic Lebanese wedding.
Heading back in time, members of the zaffe group wore traditional costumes and mounted horses that roamed the village square and streets celebrating the couple, while guests and passerby villagers greeted and cheered the happy couple to the tunes of the drums and trumpets that filled the air.
400 wedding guests were then welcomed at a reception and dinner at Swanlake in Mar Moussa, Al Douar. Swanlake is a naturally wild outdoor wedding and event venue, nestled atop a cliff, among a forest of trees. Guests were greeted by the elegance of its swans and flamingos gliding on the picturesque lake under the silver summer moon.
Arches of dainty fairy lights covered the entrance and set the tone for a romantic outdoor summer night to remember. Walking into the lush green gardens, long candlesticks decorated the path directing guests to the cocktail reception area.
Square and rectangular wooden dinner tables were laid in a semi circle shape to maximize on the beautiful views of the forest. The flower arrangements were beautiful - a mix of low and high centerpieces in different shades of pink blooms.
