Lebanese Designer Elie Saab Takes Over The Luxembourg Royal Wedding!

The famous Arab international fashion designer Elie Saab gives us more reasons to love him and his creations!The recently held Royal wedding of HRH Prince Guillaume and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy was watched by millions who fell in love with the Countess’ wedding dress.

The mastermind behind this beautiful wedding gown is Lebanese couturier Elie Saab.

The wedding gown was made of ivory lace embroidered with silver thread leaves, 3 quarter length sleeves, with more than a 12 foot long train.

According to The Royal Couturier, this is what it took to make this beautiful wedding dress:

50 meters of Chantilly lace.40 meters of Calais lace.30 meters of satin organza.70 meters of tulle and silk crepe for the lining.15 meters of silk tulle for the veil.200 pieces of transparent glitter.80,000 transparent crystals.50,000 beads/pearls.10,000 meters of silver embroidery thread.

The countess showed her devotion to her favorite designer by wearing another Elie Saab dress just a day before her wedding following the civil ceremony; an elegant gray lace dress in a similar style to her wedding gown.

The countess was not the only one wearing Elie Saab at her own wedding! Six of the main guests at the wedding, including Princess Astrid of Belgium, Princess Margaretha of Liechtenstein, Princess Clotilde of Savoy, Venice and Piedmont , and childrenswear designer Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, were all decked out in Saab's show stopping creations.

Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, wore a stunning Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gold embroidered tulle gown.

Princess Margaretha of Liechtenstein wore a red Elie Saab gown from his Pre-Fall collection 2012.

Princess Astrid of Belgium picked a dark green Elie Saab gown from the Fall 2012 collection.

Princess Clotilde of Savoy, Venice and Piedmont looked so elegant in an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture printed gown with a lace embroidered overly which was accented with a gold belt.

She also wore another Elie Saab Creation at the Luxembourg Cathedral on Saturday, the princess wore a pale grey, peplum cocktail dress in crepe with a matching wool coat and leather sandals.
