New Hotels to Open at Saudi's Red Sea Project

Red Sea Global, the developer behind the Red Sea Project, has announced that different hotel brands have been developed in this huge Saudi Arabian project.
The Red Sea Project encompasses three key destinations: The Red Sea, AMAALA, and Thuwal. The Red Sea area is designed to be a luxury ecotourism destination, boasting pristine islands and rich biodiversity. AMAALA focuses on wellness and cultural experiences, offering luxurious resorts that blend with the natural environment. Thuwal serves as a hub for marine exploration and sustainable development, featuring marine research centers and community-focused amenities. Each destination highlights sustainability and luxury, aiming to transform the region into a world-class tourism hub.
The Red Sea Project’s first phase remains on schedule, featuring a total of 16 hotels set to offer 3,000 hotel rooms across 5 islands and 2 inland sites. In total, it spans 28,000 square kilometers on Saudi Arabia’s west coast.
The Red Sea Project is being developed as an exquisite ultra-luxury destination. Once complete, it will offer visitors the exclusive opportunity to explore a unique and diverse region of the world, including experiences for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers, cultural explorers, and wellness seekers. With more than 200 km of untouched coastline, an archipelago of more than 90 unspoiled islands, dormant volcanoes, rich nature, marine habitats, and ancient archaeological sites, the destination will set new standards in sustainable development and further position Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map.
The Red Sea Project's first 3 luxury resorts have officially opened: The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, Six Senses Southern Dunes, and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. These resorts set the stage for an unparalleled experience in luxury ecotourism, featuring world-class amenities and a strong focus on sustainability. As part of the larger Red Sea Global initiative, these destinations promise pristine natural beauty, high-end services, and a commitment to environmental preservation.

Here's a look at the new properties that are due to open at the Red Sea Project in 2025-2026:
Fairmont Red Sea
The resort will be situated next to an 18-hole championship golf course, on a 200 km-long stretch of coastline, reflecting the close association between the Fairmont brand and world-class golf offerings.
The resort will feature 193 rooms, 6 Food & Beverage outlets, including an overwater restaurant to take advantage of the views of the Red Sea and the mangroves, as well as, over 2,000 square meters of meeting and banqueting space, a greenhouse, and a spa center.
Grand Hyatt The Red Sea
The luxury resort hotel will have 430 rooms and is located on Shaura Island. Grand Hyatt The Red Sea will feature a striking architectural “coral bloom” design, a unique concept that resembles a bloom of coral in the sea from above, that will offer a sense of luxury that blends seamlessly with the natural environment. A tasteful mix of suites and large standard rooms will provide guests with a comfortable and upscale place from which to explore the area’s diverse ecosystem and endless attractions.
The world-class food and beverage venues and the wider amenities of the hub island, which will include a marina and an 18-hole championship golf course, will complete the luxury hotel experience within a breathtaking setting.
InterContinental Resort Red Sea
Each of the resort's 210 sea-facing rooms will provide immediate beach access; allowing guests to step out onto the sands of the Red Sea from the terrace. The resort will also feature 7 different gastronomic experiences, sprawling pools, and recreational facilities, a spa, a health club, and meeting and events spaces for leisure and business travelers and groups.
The hotel will offer guests sweeping views of the desert and dramatic mountain landscapes, with unparalleled diversity for discerning global travelers.
Jumeirah Red Sea
Jumeirah The Red Sea which will have 170 keys and will be the second Jumeirah hotel in Saudi Arabia. It will be located on the destination’s hub island Shura.
The resort is currently under construction and is set to open in early 2025.
The property is being developed by the Red Sea Global (RSG) and Al Mutlaq Group and will be joining the 1,033 key Jumeirah Makkah, expanding the brand’s presence in Saudi.
Miraval Red Sea
Miraval is a Hyatt brand and this resort will have 180-rooms and suites including 20 villas. It will be on Shura Island.
It will have a "Life in Balance Spa", which is expected to be the largest within the Red Sea destination at nearly 3,700 square meters and 39 treatment rooms. The resort plans to offer a walking trail system, mangrove boardwalk, outdoor adventures, and several rooms for art, creative expression, music, wellness lectures, and hands-on workshops.
Restaurants will include a central dining room, the signature Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen, and a marketplace offering healthy cuisine.
Raffles Red Sea
Raffles Red Sea promises a nature-focused stay on Shaura Island. With 200 keys in total, the luxury haven will offer a selection of rooms and spacious suites, perfect for couples, friends, and families.
Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, Raffles Red Sea will also have its own beach club and an extensive spa. There will be 6 food and beverage venues at the resort, with more details to come on these soon. Guests will enjoy what Raffles is calling a "hyper-personalized" experience during their stay at the five-star hotel.
Rosewood Red Sea
The development is comprised of a stunning marina offering a yacht club, commercial retail and dining options, as well as an 18-hole championship golf course.
The development will boast 149 guest rooms and suites, alongside elevated dining offerings including 3 restaurants, 2 lounges, a signature Manor Club and a central hub featuring authentic eateries.
SLS Red Sea
The project will bring 150 hotel rooms including 12 suites and 15 villas spanning over 800,000 square feet of single-story accommodation.
The property will feature expansive one, two, three, and four-bedroom Pool Villas each with ample space and the privacy afforded by one's own private swimming pool.
It is set to open in 2025.
The Red Sea EDITION
Located on the Red Sea Project's main island, Shaura, The Red Sea EDITION is slated to open in 2025 with 240 guest rooms, including one, two and three-bedroom suites. The property is set to reflect the best of its location's cultural and social milieu and of the time.
The hotel plans to offer 2 signature restaurants, a destination bar, beach bar, fitness center, swimming pool, and spa.
Four Seasons Resort Red Sea
Soon to be one of the region’s foremost luxury beachside destinations, The Red Sea will comprise of the idyllic natural islands and lagoons across 200 kilometres (124 miles) of coastline along the western coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh. The new Four Seasons Resort will be located on Shura Island, the hub of the development and also home to a yacht marina, leisure and lifestyle facilities, retail offerings, an 18-hole golf course, and more.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay
Marking a new chapter for comprehensive wellness tourism, Four Seasons is the latest luxury hospitality brand to be announced at Triple Bay, the pinnacle of luxury wellness tourism along Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast. Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay will feature 220 keys comprising of rooms and suites, as well as villas with their private pools, and 26 branded residential villas, all thoughtfully designed to offer breathtaking bay and sea views, setting the stage for Four Seasons renowned luxury service and experiences for guests and residents alike.

The Resort will also feature a 550 square metre (5,920 square foot) ballroom with an adjacent event lawn offering panoramic views to Hijaz Cove, perfect for weddings and other celebrations.
Faena The Red Sea, Shura Island
Faena, the renowned US-born luxury brand known for its experiential hospitality and commitment to wellness, is set to launch a stunning 150-key resort on Shura Island. The property will feature a collection of elegant suites and villas, each with its private pool and panoramic ocean views.
The destination will also boast six distinctive restaurants led by world-class chefs, a holistic wellness center, a South American-inspired spa, vibrant nightlife at The Living Room, captivating live performances, and a curated program of art exhibitions.
Nammos Resort, Triple Bay, AMAALA
The first phase of AMAALA, Red Sea Global’s ambitious regenerative tourism project, is set to debut this year, introducing a collection of luxury resorts nestled between the Hijaz mountains and the Red Sea.
Among the highlights is the arrival of the iconic Mykonos-born brand Nammos, which will feature 110 ocean-view rooms and 20 exclusive branded residences along Saudi Arabia’s northwest coast. Situated in Triple Bay, AMAALA’s dedicated wellness enclave, Nammos will include a high-end spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, kids’ club, and four signature dining venues—among them Omnia Restaurant, showcasing a rotating selection of guest chefs and culinary collaborations.
The Ritz-Carlton AMAALA at Triple Bay
Set at the northern tip of Triple Bay, The Ritz-Carlton AMAALA becomes the fourth Marriott International property within the Red Sea Global portfolio. Surrounded by natural dunes, the resort is thoughtfully designed by Foster + Partners to echo the coastal charm of nearby Al Wajh while blending seamlessly into the landscape.
As AMAALA’s largest resort, it features 390 luxurious accommodations—most with sweeping views of the sea and marina, while others look out onto the mountains. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including sunset-facing restaurants, as well as a full-service spa, three distinct swimming pools (for adults, families, and a unique rock pool), direct beach access, and a wide range of fitness, sports, and wellness amenities.
Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA at Triple Bay
Arriving at Triple Bay in 2025 alongside Four Seasons, Jayasom will introduce a 153-room wellness retreat designed for immersive, personalized wellbeing experiences.
The retreat will cater to both individuals and families, offering integrated programs that combine fitness, physiotherapy, nutrition, and spa treatments. Emphasizing a philosophy of ‘conscious cuisine,’ the property will feature thoughtfully crafted menus and a variety of wellness-oriented activities. In addition to the retreat, Jayasom will also unveil 24 exclusive branded residences.
Clinique La Prairie Health Resort AMAALA, Triple Bay
Renowned for over a century as a leader in health, wellness, and longevity, Swiss medical retreat Clinique La Prairie is bringing its groundbreaking expertise to Saudi Arabia with its first resort beyond Switzerland. This exclusive destination will offer 74 rooms, a collection of ultra-luxury suites, and 13 branded residences, all centered around the clinic’s signature approach to holistic health and anti-ageing.
Equinox AMAALA
Equinox AMAALA marks the first of two Equinox properties launching in Saudi Arabia, ahead of its sister location in NEOM. Bringing the brand’s signature emphasis on sports, fitness, and high-performance living, this resort will be part of the wellness-focused AMAALA development. Designed to echo traditional Saudi architectural elements around a central courtyard, the hotel features 128 upscale rooms, including two penthouses, with expansive views of the marina and Hijaz Cove. Guests can enjoy gourmet dining options, a rooftop magnesium salt pool, a full-service spa, and a state-of-the-art Equinox Fitness Club.
