Confessions of a Real Bride: Basema Mahasna
Basema and Maen Mahasna have known each other for a long time as their families are related and good friends, Basema and Maen’s marriage was a traditional marriage, as Maen’s mom was the one who brought them together.
The couple got married in Irbid, a city north of Jordan, at Al Nakheel Palace Halls on 24 January 2015.
Basema shared some of her wedding planning experience with us to help other brides in planning their wedding:

Enjoy planning your wedding, because these moments will not come back again; enjoy the small and little details of planning your wedding together.
- What was the theme or color scheme you picked for your wedding?
I chose to have an all white wedding theme, and my Henna party was mainly red.
I browsed through the wedding music section on Arabia Weddings, and chose many songs to play at my wedding
- What was the most difficult and stressful part of wedding planning?
The most difficult part was getting some sleep the night before, as a bride you can’t stop thinking about the wedding and how you will look on your special day.
- Did you face any surprises?
Our wedding was in winter, and right before our wedding there was a big snow storm which made us delay some of the wedding arrangements. We were worried that we would have to cancel the wedding, but thank God, the weather was great on our wedding day.
