Samar and Angel's Intimate Garden Wedding in Dubai
Samar and Angel had an intimate garden wedding at Rixos The Palm in Dubai on 19 April, 2019. The wedding was planned and styled by The Wedding Haven. Samar is from Lebanon while the groom is Spanish.
The floral decor of the wedding was kept traditional, while the table decor was a bit more modern with hints of a beach wedding theme; very appropriate for the setting that was close to the beach on the iconic The Palm Dubai.
The round tables were covered with white overlays and complemented by white tiffany chairs. For the VIP tables assigned to close family members and the newly weds, The Wedding Haven placed brownish-gray table runners on them together with bamboo table numbers, which gave some earthiness to the cool tablescape. "We placed a round mirror in the center of all the tables for a start. And on top of them were scattered seashells and decorative starfish. The main centerpieces were a set of three, long glass vases filled with sand and topped with candles and seashells and lovely, little blue stones. It was a very refreshing and nautical affair," as described by May A.J. Halasa, Founder and Lead Planner, The Wedding Haven.
The wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful garden area surrounded by palm trees. The fresh sea breeze blowing away, the soft sound of romantic latin music, and the lovingness in everyone’s eyes as they watched two people come together in harmony, made a perfect memorable evening.
White O’hara roses were placed generously all over the ceremony arch, which was used as a backdrop for the head table during the reception dinner. The truss used on stage was a large group of downward-flowing white roses. The volume of flowers gave an illusion of a classic, floral ceiling for the stage.
The wedding favors gave a very quirky touch to this Dubai wedding. The couple wanted to ensure that after a long evening of partying and celebration, that their guests felt taken care of, so the wedding favors made absolutely perfect sense. Guests were given hangover kits, which also came with nostalgic candies from the couple’s childhood! And for an extra bit of love, heel stoppers were given for the ladies.
The groom wore a traditional evening tail suit, accompanied with a light grey waistcoat and a red tie. The bride elegantly captured the princess bride look with her ballgown dress, jeweled hair comb, and floor length veil. Her beautiful wedding bouquet was of cascading white orchids.
