- Did you hire a wedding planner or planned the wedding yourself?
I hired a wedding planner, which I recommend. Her name is Aya Katcher. She is a Turkish-Jordanian wedding planner based in Amman.
- What is the biggest advice you can give any bride-to-be?
Relax... plan ahead and look for deals... especially on Arabia Weddings. I didn’t get the time to order any deals, but I recommended it to all my friends and cousins who are getting married.
- What was the theme and color scheme you picked for your wedding?
I chose purple to be the dominant color of the wedding, the basic color was white, and the purple color was added through the lights and flowers.
- Do you recommend specific suppliers you worked with?
The wedding planner Aya Katcher, DJ Raja, and Gorgeous Salon.

- What was the most difficult and stressful part of wedding planning?
Planning the wedding in general is a difficult process. There were a few misunderstandings at the beginning with some wedding suppliers of what I wanted but everything went well after that.
It took me a lot of time to find the right wedding dress, almost 6 months.
We were late when it came to booking the DJ, so it was difficult to find a DJ who can make it to our wedding in such a short period of time.
- Did you face any surprises?
Sure… some from the wedding planner and some from our parents, which were all pleasant surprises. I was surprised to see that my groom got me the wedding car that I wanted, a classic white car, since he told me he had booked a ‘Chery’ car for us.
I was impressed with the setting and decorations as I didn’t get to see the last setting before the wedding which was very nice.
I was also surprised by the beautiful fireworks which made the entire night more beautiful.
The buffet was more than great and delicious; I loved how we got to have an ice cream stand.
- Describe your wedding day and the planning process.
It was great, we had lots of fun... some fights... some action... which happen at every wedding.
- Did Arabia Weddings help you in your wedding planning?
Yes! I learned a lot from the tips & trends section on Arabia Weddings and the expert’s corner section.
